Avoid Updating Database table multiple times with same internal table values

Hi All,

I wrote a program to upload data from excel sheet to internal table and to update it in database table.

So my question is if I am updating database table with same internal table values it is updating but I need to show an message that records which are trying to update are already existing in database table.

And Also another doubt is if I am trying with different values from internal table, previous values are getting erased and new values are updated to table.

I have used Modify command to update database table.

Please help me out in solving this problem.
